Manhwas that are a good read

This is a list of manhwas with a decent storytelling, good art and a generic but good plot.

  • Murim Login: set in a world where monsters appear and has hunters to fight them, but also has a VR Murim world where the protagonist levels up
  • Overgeared: VR video game world, has a good storyline and great worldbuilding with a lot of characters. It is based on a webnovel which has decent English translations too.
  • Return of the Blossoming Blade: Strong protagonist reincarnates into the future. The story hasn't made a lot of progress yet but looks promising based on the progress made so far.
  • The Lone Necromancer: As the name suggest the protagonist is a necromancer like in Solo Leveling but it isn't a complete rip off. Has a few unique elements and the story looks good.
  • Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint: To be honest haven't read the manhwa completely but the webnovel. The webnovel version has decent translations and really good world building with characters having unique abilities.
  • Solo Leveling: Almost everyone must have read this. But if you haven't this is pretty good with a great story and great artwork.
  • The Legend of the Northern Blade: Is a slow burner but is really good.

Unique Manhwas

Unique or different here applies to the plot, art style or the characters.

  • Reincarnated as a Legendary Surgeon: The protagonist, whose a surgeon, is reincarnated into the past when medicine was not as developed. As of writing this the number of chapters haven't even hit a 100 but so far it looks like a good read.
  • I Became an Evolving Space Monster: Based in VR world and the main character is kinda inspired from the Predator franchise. There are only 17 chapters as of writing this so still early to judge the story, but the idea is definitely different than most and does seem very interesting.
  • Gachiakuta: This one's a manga. Dystopian setting where people are discriminated against and live in slums. Criminals are thrown into a giant pit where all garbage is tossed. But there's a world underneath... Great story and has characters with very unique abilities. This seems like one of those mangas which will get an anime adaptation.
  • The Greatest Estate Developer: A civil engineer wakes up in a fantasy novel. Deceptive protagonist with 'great' artwork.
  • Murim Login: This has a 'dual' world. The real world with monsters, gates and hunters and a murim VR world. The story and artwork both are really good.
  • My S-Class Hunters: Haven't completely read this because personally found it lowkey boring but has an F-rank Hunter protagonist with ability to tame OP monsters. Checks the unique checkbox
  • Solo Farming in the Tower: There are only 40 chapters as of writing this, Found the story meh, but the protagonist is teleported to the top floor of the tower with a farming ability. Doesn't have any action but is a quick binge.

Manhwas with OP Protagonists

This is a list of manhwas with overpowered protagonists.

  • Solo Leveling: Great story, great artwork. Protagonist starts off weak but quickly levels up to be super OP.
  • Dungeon Odyssey: Monsters arise from underground labyrinths. The protagonist is born and brought up in the deepest labyrinth and gets an ability to form his own labyrinth. There are only 65 chapters so far but the story already has a made a lot of progress and is really good.
  • Max Level Player: Has an OP protagonist from the start. The story and artwork both are meh but there's only 40 chapters as of writing this so is a quick binge.
  • Mercenary Enrollment: Protagonist spends childhood as a mercenary in a foreign land, returns back to highschool has to deal with his past following him. Alright story but some might like because of the action.
  • Mercenary Enrollment: Protagonist spends childhood as a mercenary in a foreign land, returns back to highschool has to deal with his past following him. Alright story but some might like because of the action.
  • Apex Future Martial Arts: Protagonist travels 10,000 years into the future in his sleep, learns skills, and levels up to come back and fight monsters. I dropped this after a while but some people might like it because of the overpowered protagonist.
  • Disastrous Necromancer: Protagonist is extremely OP from the start and has necromancer abilities to fight creatures from the other world. Again something I dropped fater a while.
  • Chronicles of a Returner: Protagonist with overpowered martial arts is sealed and breaks the seal a thousand years later. Was ruthless but meets a kid and that changes his fate. Has okay artwork.
  • The Knight King Who Returned with a God: OP protagonist who gets sucked into another world and returns to Earth after 300 years.
  • Overgeared: VR world where protagonist gets a Legendary blacksmith class with ability to craft weapons and armor that are too overpowered.
  • One Punch Man: This is a manga. Protagonist is so overpowered that he can defeat any enemy with one punch. Has a great story and great artwork.

  • Player who Returned 10000 years later: Protagonist gets sucked into a portal where time moves faster and returns 10,000 years later. The protagonist is evil and ruthless.

Manhwas with great artwork
